Equipment (one off cost) - £23.49
Do not add this into your calculations for every brew session. Equipment will not need replacing for many uses, if at all.
The above prices are assuming you will be drinking your alcohol straight from a glass dipped into the fermenting vessel, which is fine to do as long as you don't leave it too long, and as long as you don't need to move the fermenter as this will stir up the settled yeast altering the flavour of your drink. We would always advise purchasing a second vessel so you can rack your finished product off the yeast. This would cost an extra £13.50. You may also wish to bottle your alcohol to give to other people too, this is another extra which will cost from 60p per bottle.
For any other spirits instead of vodka including liqueurs, schnapps, fruity shots and other spirits like whisky and brandy etc., you need to brew a batch of vodka (tasteless, colourless base alcohol) and add flavourings from £1.99 per bottle. Some flavourings require more sugar to be added to the bottle as well as the flavouring, from 20g to 320g in the sweetest liqueur.
